Bespoke Decorative Metalwork Fabrication
The Project
Thorndell Engineering recently completed the fabrication of a bespoke decorative metalwork installation, manufactured to exacting standards within our in-house fabrication workshop. The project required a high level of craftsmanship and precision engineering to achieve both structural integrity and a refined decorative finish.
Our Role
The metalwork was manufactured using a hammered box section, carefully rolled to an accurate radius to achieve the required form. Decorative elements were incorporated to enhance the overall aesthetic, including:
- Hand-formed scrolls
- Basket infills
All components were fully welded by coded welders, ensuring strength, consistency, and compliance with relevant welding standards.
Finish & Preparation
Following fabrication, the project was prepared for hot-dip galvanising and polyester powder coating, providing long-term corrosion protection and a premium finish.
The chosen colour, Anthracite Grey, offers a modern and highly popular aesthetic suitable for both contemporary and traditional settings.
Outcome
The completed metalwork is now ready for final finishing, representing another successful example of Thorndell Engineering's ability to combine technical expertise with decorative metal craftsmanship.
