Structural Steelwork, Doncaster

The Project

Thorndell Engineering were delighted to be appointed by the Buckingham Group to complete secondary structural steelwork for the new Amazon distribution centre in Doncaster on the Great Yorkshire Way, on the M18. We manufactured the steelwork to house the illuminated Amazon sign, as well as steel walkways for the dispatch area.

We designed, manufactured and installed two galvanised steel walkways which were 60m long. These steel sidewalks made for easier distribution for HGV’s. We also supplied other general steelwork, helping to support the daily operations of Amazon.

We’re proud to have delivered all the work on time, and developed an excellent working relationship with the Buckingham Group. Since the success of the Amazon building, we have now secured more work with the Buckingham Group, and have moved onto the new York Stadium project. We achieved an excellent finish with no obstacles during the work, and zero defects on the final product.
